Yesterday, That country allows all diesel vehicles to be sold and 80% of the population drive diesels since its the cheapest fuel there. Q18-19 for diesel and Q20-23 for gas, translation around $1.50-$1.99 for diesel and $2.20-$3 for gas. I saw a C class CDI, 2 S class CDI's at a dealer that i walked into but they asked me to leave, probably thought i was broke

and left quickly because the security gaurds have shotguns who would shoot you on site. All of the mercs are at Euro spec the neighbors 300SD had the euro lamps and looked different inside. We drove next to a 80ish 200D with the eurolamps and cloth seats and when i was at a junk yard looking for a working window motor for my SD they had three 80ish diesels all at euro spec 2 were sedans the other was a wagon. And many and many CDI merc vans either sprinters or the family vans. No trucks there were bigger then a tacoma people who lived there said they dont need huge trucks They said F150's and silverados are too big and guzzle to much gas so most people drive isuzu Dmax diesels (chevy colorado) ZX-AUTO hilux D4D (toyota tacoma) nissan frontier diesels, and ford powerstroke rangers.

Its was a fun trip made me see how much the US takes way to many things for granted like big trucks they dont need, guatemala has many dirt roads that are bumpy and very bumpy highways where they would need bigger 4x4 vehicles but they drive 2wd economy vehicles and small trucks and do just fine. The US on the other hand has smooth cement roads and we still buy these huge trucks that we dont need.
