The W126 central lock system is pneumatic like the W123's. Well kinda like. The W123 uses vacuum to lock and unlock, the W126 uses vacuum to lock and pressure to unlock. The only electrical parts are the key swtiches and pump. If your 240D system is working, get a couple of W126 pumps and wire up [W126?] key switches such that one vacuum pump locks and the other unlocks. I think that will be easier than fitting W126 pods in each door. Maybe not.
