who sells Viton hose?
I am looking for viton hose to replace the fuel lines in my car. I need 5/16 inch 3/8 inch and the braided injector return line. It has been converted to run on vegetable oil, so I will need more hose than if the car were stock.

Standard fuel injection line should be ok for veg oil. If you are going biodiesel then you need viton. I am going to stick with the stock braded injector return line. You may be able to find Dayco Gen-2 fuel injection line locally, which has a viton lining.

save your money
I bought my viton hoses from mcmaster-carr at www.mcmaster.com. HOWEVER, if I had it to do over again, I would have saved my money. Modern rubber hoses are so much cheaper and are reasonably biodiesel-resistant. Every Viton hose I have used or seen has not been well-suited to use a fuel hoses in a veggie-oil conversion. The softest ones are not soft enough to fit well on the various hose barbs without some serious clampage. But then once hot, they seem dangerously soft.
Seriously, save your money. Buy normal rubber fuel hoses. Every mechanic I've talked to says they've only seen 20-year old original rubber hoses degrade when used with biodiesel. And replacing the new ones if they do get spongy in a few years will be inexpensive as well. Just my opinion. Feel free to spend $5/foot on Viton hoses.

I agree with Aaron. The greaseworks kit (http://www.greaseworks.org/) is nice, but $110 is a bit steep. Mcmastser is like $15 a foot.
I had to change the line going into the prefilter right after I started running b99 and went with standard rubber, (as sold on this site) it's been 15 months and looks fine. I also changed out the injector return lines with stock and they're fine too. For my 300d I'm just replacing with stock hose.

If you are not going to run biodiesel you don't need special fuel line. But if you intend to run B100, nothing but Viton will do.

how about aquarium air line? i used some of that to replace my dads fuel lines and it works fine. Its a flexible plastic not rubber and see through so you can easily see if there are bubbles. also it gives your car a cool look

I discovered that Viton return hose has one advantage that the braided hose does not, that is it is reusable! if for some reason you have to remove the return lines to an injector you simply pull off the Viton hose using a good tug up close to the injector nipples, and it comes off without having to cut it. And it can be stuck back on and it continues works fine, no sweat! I decided to swap a set of injectors on my engine while I was troubleshooting a nailing nose, so my Viton return lines have been off and back on with no leaks!
I want to see when two years from now if the stuff is weeping like the braided fuel lines. I always wanted to use teflon return lines on my 603 engine but I couldn't find anything that pushes on a hose barb, its all made for crimp fittings. I do not find the small Viton hose dangerously soft like someone reported, but this is the injector fuel return hose that I am referring to, not any of the larger hoses. Using thin wall Viton for some of the larger hoses is likely to be an issue because it is indeed more flexible than regular hoses. I suggest using regular hose material elsewhere on the engine and simply plan on replacing it when it starts to leak if you run B100 or similar.

I put Vitons on my 300TD after running B100 for about year and 8000 miles. To the fuel lines defense I don't know how old the lines were, they were the ones on the car when I bought it a little over a year ago. I cut open the old one open too see what the they looked like. They looked perfectly fine. Point is I wouldn't bother with vitons they are expensive and I didn't notice a huge break down in the time period that I used them. Here is where I got mine if you want to out them on just to be safe.
GreaseWorks Viton Fuel Line Kits Justin sells the kits that come with all the pre-cut hoses of appropriate size you will need and new hose clamps. Here is a link to the thread and photos I posted Biodiesel and fuel lines thread Ohh one other note for you. Keep the cigar hose on the car. When I changed mine I put on the Viton straight hose and the car started making a loud plusing sound, it almost sounded like I had a hole in the exhaust. I put the cigar hose back on and the sound disappeared.
