1992 300D rear rotors

Does anyone have any tips on removing the rear rotors. I want to check the parking brake shoes because I have had to adjust them several times recently. But I can't get the rotors off. I backed off the brake shoes and used PB Blaster and beat the things with a rubber mallet, and I still can't get them off. Any suggestins would be greatly appreciated.
