has anybody ever heard of anyone that put a 617 turbo engine
in an sl body , wonder if it woud be too tall or too long, sort of wish I hadn't thought of the idea might have to try it! William Rogers.....

My father did have a W107 SLC with a 6-cylinder 300D engine for a couple of days...but it was nearly impossible to get the proper (dutch) papers for that car. It was a german registered car and it probably still is...
