I love my set of air tools, wouldn't have a garage without a set now.

The air grinder is awsome. An impact gun is perfect for removing stuck suspension bolts and other usefull stuff. The air wrench is down right usefull as well.

I'm sold they save me time and work great!

I can't imagine having a farm that is profitable and not using air or electrically powered tools. It would be an unbelievable problem. Nuts and bolts on modern equipment are assembled using power tools at the factory and I doubt that some of them would come apart without power tools, period. The bigger stuff, socket size over 1.5 inches and with fine threads would be a real struggle - and who wants to spend an hour per bolt? Nope, just get the 1 inch drive air impact and spin away. Plus, you've got to put them back on tight too, and need all the torque you can get.

I helped my dad put a new radiator in our Peterbuilt truck last summer and the frame must have had 150 bolts, definately a job for an impact wrench, quick and painless and a lot easier on the knuckles.

I know, why hack at a bolt you want to cut off for 10 minutes with a stupid hack saw, when with an air grinder you can make short work of it in like 30 seconds?

btw the ONLY way to wax and polish a car is either with an electic or air buffer. Hand buffing not only wastes time but the results are poor.

Any contractor using a hammer to drive nails will be out of business soon. Air guns are ten times faster, amoung other benifits.

I have a shop full of techs that would completely disagree with the no air tool discussion.Without them, they couldn't make any money. My motto:work smarter not harder!!!!:)

Yeah!

Yeah, I tried the wrench and pipe combination on my lawn mower blade to no avail. I'm with you Matt. That SOB wouldn't come off without the impact wrench.

i use them on a daily basis at work. i couldnt imagine using just a ratchet to do half the work i do. i own several air tools. im gonna really need them once i change over to my other job. could you imagine breaking the lugs loose on a cat dozer with a breaker bar? if i didnt have them i would be lost. if the techs at my current job didnt have them do you think they would get half the work done in the time the book says? hell no.

I bet if you asked the Irish roofer, he'd use an air hammer if he had one.

Since I make my living designing industrial air tools, I hope the no power tools sentiment doesn't catch on.

The one thing I can think of more efficient than power/air tools - Mexicans.

But saying that would take this thread in the entirely wrong direction........
