new radiator for 300D

I am looking to replace the radiator in my 81 300D N/A. A local guy says he can get a new Modine w/ a lifetime warranty $280. Does anyone have any experience with this make of radiator? Recommendations?

Clint,

U should be able to get your radiator recored for about half that if U have a copper/brass radiator. I consider a recored radiator equilavalent to new.

Thank you all. When they guy asked if the radiator was plastic or metal I told him that it had a plastic top. He then said that he didn't think it could be re-cored. From what I've read here, he is mistaken. I wanted him to check it out to see if it was clogged or corroded up in some area. I then asked what a rebuild would cost.
Thanks again,
clint

Fastlane has the original for $256. Call and you might be able to beat him up on the price.
