Looks nice!

But no way in **** it's worth 25 grand.... I'm sorry but that's a 8 thousand dollar car... It's just not super popular right now.
And I can't even count how many white w123s I see every single day they are so common |
Agree on all counts.

This one is cool. It's a rare model. 280 SLC with clean good paint, interior also looks pretty dang perfect, minus the wood grain by the shifter but that's easy enough to find and replace. 79k documented miles plus "supposedly" fully AMG kitted. Even tho it just looks like it has the front bumper kit to me. But I talked to the guy and he claims it's fully kitted including the engine tune, I really really am not sure if I believe him tho. Ya it is at a little ghetto shady stealership but that could also kinda be a good thing because he is asking $6999 so really they will most likely let it god for 5 G's if u have cash. Or u could also have the option to just throw a down payment at him and make little payments on it if that's your cup of tea. If that's really a full AMG kit with 79k fully garaged weekend car then even 7k is a pretty damn good deal. |
That's a euro model with the six. I'd be suspicious about the AMG package. I'd try to value it as a used six cylinder car. I'd look for rust down under and look hard at the wheel opening since it has the chrome lips on it. It's so rare it will be hard to value. I'd look at the value of a us spec v8 slc and assume its worth less or no more..

The 79k is probably on that speedometer when it was replaced from kilometers to miles. It is probably TMU
They will take 5k in a heartbeat.:D If one is interested a little dickering and $2000-2500 you will become the owner be my guess. Forget the AMG BS Quote:

The part of the ad which reads, "GOOD CREDIT, BAD CREDIT, NO CREDIT, NO PROBLEM!!!!! CALL NOW! 100% GUARANTEED FINANCING !" says a lot.
|
Its in house financing. Put $999 down (their cost of vehicle and commissions) then pay the remaining $6000 weekly.
Oh yeah they will eventually repo it and resell for $6999 Quote:

The guy says he has papers back from 79 to now proving it only has 79k. mercedes nor the dmv just gives u a brand new miles speedo if u bring it from the states...
Yes i know dealerships are redicoulous i understand that. But what u guys think a fair price for that car is. 5 grand seems like a steal no matter which way i look at it |
NOT a full AMG kit. Period. No side skirts, no rear valance, et cet. A real AMG kit would cost over $4K if you can find it. Where's the rims by ATS? It took me years to piece together a real AMG body kit for the W123 and I am just missing the rear apron. Hop over to AMG Classics and have one of the pro's comment.

The only 280 AMG car I ever saw was a 280SL in late 1983, it had a 3.6 AMG motor. That looks like a euro spec 280SLC. I suspect it was converted to US spec buy a company called AMG that did grey market conversions back then. If the owner has documents supporting the miles it's possible the speedo was run forward 7,500 miles when new, it could have less miles than it shows.
I never saw a grey market AMG car with the base model interior. Not impossible, but no that just looks like a very cool 280SLC. |

Looks primo but he's asking $11,875 and it's a 350. Ah, to have Jay Leno's garage and put a 606 with intercooler into it. |

It's a beauty for sure. The 3.5 has made it 120K, I wonder how much further it will go, or if MB already worked on it. I heard most of the failures occurred before 75K, not sure how much truth there is to that though.
The seller probably doesn't even know about the 3.5 reputation. |
