looking for a 300TD

What can anyone tell me about the 86 300TD? I keep reading about 85's and 87's but not 86's. I am new to MB's. Would like to purchase one to convert to wvo for my wife. She prefers a wagon. Found an 86 with 286,000 miles.Asking price $3199. Pics look good. Any advice would be appreciated.

Could be a mistitled 85. There was a body change between 85 and 86 but once in a while there will be an 85-older advertised as an 86.
