Vacuum Control Valve Help

I have an 87 190D Turbo with the 602 engine, with 212,000 miles. A few days ago my car started upshifting much more harshly than before. I did some poking around in this forum and saw that I should be looking for vacuum leaks and found that one of the soft line connectors coming out of the vacuum control valve on the IP is torn.

Can I just pull out the torn connector and replace it, or is there something else I need to do? I assume it just slides off, and that I then reconnect the hard lines and plug it back in. But you know what assuming does, so I thought I'd ask here before pulling anything off. Cheers.
