W116 Access to Climate Control Module

I cant find info on how to remove the wood trim from around the climate module. Ive got it lifted at the other end (near to the window switches, but cant seem to get the upper portion loose (around the climate module itself. I've read that it should be slightly pryed off and Ive tried that but I don't want to force it and crack/damage the wood trim. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks - Bert

Seems to me that the climate control selector (buttons) are screwed to the wood from behind. I got one out of a boneyard, but someone had already done the removal beforehand . It doesn't look like it comes out without a struggle.

I got it!

There are 2 screws - tiny, above the radio. Remove those and the top of the wood trim is held in place with snaps from the back. I little prying and off it came. Thanks for your help.
