Mildew Mold Remover
http://www.topoftheline.com/32ozmicroban.html
Microban Mildew & Mold Remover is an environmentally-safe, anti-microbial formula that destroys mold, mildew, and other bacterial odors on contact. Microban has long been considered the #1 remedy for mold & mildew. When you cannot use chlorine, Microban is the only solution. Apply to carpet, upholstery, vinyl, leather, shower tile, boat storage areas, basements, musty campers, motor homes and air conditioning vents. |

That just sounds a bit salesman-ish. |
I don't make a penny on their sales (TOL or MB). Just a quick quote from the link I provided. For those who are to lazy to click on it for themselfs. But you knew that...Right:rolleyes:
Mold(s) can cause very serious health issues. Quote:

Some molds are much worse than others. Our new Kia had a front compartment seal installed wrong, and rain soaked the front floors. After the dealer repaired the leak, the mold got so bad you could smell it from 20 feet away. It smelled like a cave. They finally took the car to a specialist who ripped out the interior down to the bare metal and treated the whole thing. At that point I lemon-lawed the car. A few weeks later I saw my ex-car sitting in the dealer's lot. I opened the door and was almost knocked out by the foul smell. They will probably have to bury the thing.

Mold Library
Here's a link to our mold library. (I do work here but not trying to sell anything). The microban and others like it are often worse than the mold as far as health effects go. You will not get rid of mold until you get rid of the moisture source, and remove all material that is carbon based (carpet, leather, etc.), decontaminate, and HEPA vac. You cannot ever destroy or capture all of the spores so the problem will come back if the moisture returns.
Sorry this isn't good news, I hope it helps though. http://www.forensica.com/_default.asp?x=mic_libmenu.htm |
Mold removal
Punch the words "ozone generator" and "Mold" into Gooogle. You should get plenty of hits, as these generators are used by the "Pros". Ozone kills mold.

look around...
I got an ozone generator guts from an online surplus company, for $15. Hooked it up to a zip cord, plugged it in, and killed lots of mold. It is a 7.5 kV unit! P.S. Don't put your tongue to it to see if its working...

I've found the best way to get rid of mold in the carpet is to remove it from the car and power wash it. Not only does it get the mold off, the carpet will come out looking fantastic.
Plus when you remove the carpet you can remove all the padding under it and put it in the sun to dry. -J |
