A black S-class with the 5-zylinder turboDiesel is the latest German addition to the local U-Pull-It; the engine seems almost complete; looks like someone got the front exhaust manifold. I am thinking it might be worth $175 plus my labor; opinions? What does this engine weigh, as one is pulling it in the 'yard?
Are the bundt wheels worth anything? I can get them for about $15 each.
I checked out the car a little; some observatioins, compared to my W126:
This car has MB-Tex and it looks pretty good, even in the 'yard; I think it holds up better than leather.
This car seems simpler, less complex, under the hood: no double firewall, etc; looks easier to work on.
Other semi-interesting new arrivals: a 5-cylinder Audi (old one); a real SAAB 4-door (non-turbo).
