Has anyone stuffed the back Seats with Noodles?
Just wondeirng, as my rear seats are pretty bad, I sat in the back just yesterday and realized how unsupportive and saggy they are.

I have (front seat) and it's a great idea.......unfortunately it's not a long term fix. I believe the quality of material used to make pool noodles is low. Fix or replace the springs for a long term cure. There are some threads on using old injector lines to join the broken springs.

I repaired my springs as well as stuffed them. I figured for the price of the noodle, I can afford to change them out as needed.

The front seats I rebuilt (if the springs are intact, usually the horsehair pad is gone and causes a really flat feeling). I used one noodle along the leading edge of the rear seat just to give a bit more support in the front. Works wonders.

back seat noodling!
One of the first things I had to do was "fix" the rear seat springs for my twin sons. The ends of the seat had no support and their car seats actually tilted forward and to the doors.
I took the seat out and found no springs broken just really weak. I put in two full sections of pool noodles across the front of the seat and took smaller sections and stuffed the ends and corners. Worked great and has held up to twin 6 year old boys. Easy and cheap fix took me all of 45 minutes, two noodles and a sliding bar clamp. I used the woodworking clamp to open the springs for maximum stuffage! Good Luck, Jason |

Guess I'll be picking up more noodles this weekend. The back seats need as much support as the front ones have now!
Thanks!

pool noodles
I did this on mine and it worked great. I also sliced a noodle (ginsu knife works perfect) and put the slices in between the coils on the corner springs. This really stiifens up the edges. Plus if you ever drive into a lake, use the back seat as a life raft ....

What about the "back" rear seat pad? There is nothing left except the springs, the seat bottom is OK , anyone replaced the rear "back"pad?

Speaking of noodle-stuffing seats (oops, that sounds so pornographic!) , um... anyway... after stuffing the seat bottom, does it actually raise the height at which you sit? I ask this because I'm 6'4", and even with the driver's seat set at it's bottom-most setting, my head is almost touching the headliner. I've got no headroom left. But my seat is really saggy (my car seat!)

The noodles will make the seat taller. I'm 6'6'' and cleared before 'noodling', but touched the headliner for a week or so until the seat settled in. How do I get to the rear seat bottoms in a wagon? -
