How did someone manage to blow a 603 that quick? Still sounds like a good find.

The Original driver was a dentists wife, and while driving it, she blew the upper radiator hose, thinking she would take care of it ASAP, she 'limped' it to the dealer where it promptly shut itself down.

The dentist opted not to fix the car, so the service manager bought it, bought a new motor (paperwork included), then sold it to a salesman at the MB dealer (talked to him on Friday) who sold it to a customer who was a real estate agent (the guy I bought it from) the story tracks, as well as the service records.

I'll take pics tomorrow. I THINK its Anthricite Grey. It's been a Texas Car all its life, started in Dallas, then Corpus, now I have it.

The leather seats have splits in them and the sunroof doesnt work (ugh, tried to tilt it, oops!). The pass window doesn't roll down, warning buzzer doesnt work, front bumper has a hole in it, but the good parts are, the car runs AWESOME, NO smoke, has a new CCU, No cracks in the wood anywhere, and is SO much quieter than my W123. I was considering keeping both, but now I have the W126, the difference is remarkable in driving enjoyment and the ability to carry on a conversation at 70 mph and not scream your head off. Seems like mechanically this car has had no expense spared, however, on the cosmetic/aesthetic side, it needs some attention. I may have to put a paint job on this next year sometime.

I picked the car up for less than 4K!

Anyway, just as I was learning so much about the OM617 turbo, here we go with the 603!!

Look for pics soon!
