How do you rank them?
Ok, since I'm new at this can the experts share their opinion on the W108 and W109 bodies? In what order in the totem pole do they fall as far desirability? Thanks

You should post on the Vintage forum. In general 109s are far more desireable than 108s... especially 6.3s.

My take on it is the only desireable 109 is the 6.3.
Nobody wants a "regular" 109 because of the expense of the stupid air suspension. In my opinion, the 4.5 liter V8 108's with the coil spring suspension are by far more sought after and practical.

The 3.5 is pretty rare in the US. The few sold in the US pretty much came in Euro tune unlike the US specific 4.5. The 3.5 even with second gear start will easily outrun a US 4.5. The early 3.0 also has a following among M189 fans. Okay, I described about 7 people
