Replace R4 with Sanden 508 Compressor ?

My friend's euro 1985 300D has a Sanden (which he acquired from an early 90's Volvo 940 series) but he said he replaced similar looking compressor ith it . The compressor fit the brackets exactly . The hose connections were different and he had to splice them . I ahve check the local u-pull yards for months but not luck and it look like I will have to make them . I cannot convince him to let me remove and measure the brackets until winter but I would like to get my A/C going with a Sanden compressor (vs R4) . Can anyone here help ? - Thanks

I should have done it when I had that one in the shop. I could not tell when I was working on it but is it the Sanden compressor?
