Manal tranny from a 190 fit into a 300d?

I recently acquired a 1983 300CD. The auto transmission is troublesome and I am busy playing with vacuum and cable adjustments, etc... I recently saw a 1986 190 (2.3) with a 5 speed manual transmission at my local junkyard. I'm wondering if it's tranmission would mate up to the engine in my diesel.

Anybody know where I can find out?
