Angry Nooooo!!!!!!!!!

Not 15 minutes ago, driving on the highway to come home for lunch, I pass a GMC Envoy hauling an ATV on a trailer, and WHAM! got a nice plum-sized rock square in the windshield! DAMNIT!! sprayed glass all over the interior and myself.....I guess I need a windshield!

I'll post a pic later tonight...

Damn damn damn!!

The rock was probably picked up from the road. I had a 2x4 slap the windshield of a truck I used to have, by some DA that ras driving half on half off the road. I got the "you should have stopped them" advice also. I can tell you, I was doing good just to get stopped and to pulled off the road. I feel your pain!

Sorry about that dude!

Wow, that didn't take long to get to the second page!

Anyway,

I thought about it, but then my Insurance company has a deductable policy, and my deductable is $700 and the new windshield costs $161 so I'd be paying out of pocket anyway...

if I had $3500 damage on my car, I'd only have to pay $700.
I COULD get a package policy that includes free glass replacement at an extra $30 a month on top of my $51...

That sucks. They way insurance is set up in my area at least, glass isn't part of the deductable. You purchase glass coverage seperatly for an amazingly cheap amount.

When I rock took out my windsheild a couple of years ago I was happy as can be! 48 hours later I had a brand new, OE peice of glass fitted at great expense to the insurance company.

Kind of hope it happens again!

I believe in KY the law is that the insurance company just flat replaces the windshield for free if you have comprehensive coverage. No deductable at all. Probably something to do with all the coal trucks.
I agree, having anything big hit the windshield at speed is a frightening experience.
