Transmission Fluid purge ... (123)

Has anyone taken their car to get a Power Purge Transmission Flush at AAMCO??

Wondering if it really works like they claim, sounds like a good idea.

I would never power flush a car that has a torque converter drain plug and a filter to be replaced. I would also not ever buy into AAMCO's sales pitches either.

Check the recent Jiffy Lube post.

I agree with Len. You can drain 90+% of the old fluid and replace the filter without much mess.

AAMCO will tell you anything to get you in the door. Once your in, you transmission is going to be pronounced dead (or on its last leg) and in immediate need of an overhaul.

Don't go there!!!
