Driveway pleaser parts list ?

I pulled the motor out of my 85 300d and before it comes back in, I want to replace every gasket and seal down there. Same deal with the trasmission seals. I want the MB to be leak free, is that too much to ask ! ? !

Can someone give me a list of these parts so that I dont realise just once it's all opened up ?

thanks!

front main seal, rear main seal, waterpump seal, oil filter housing gasket, (if you remove the IP change the freeze plug behind it if its leaking), freeze plugs if they leak, turbo seals, head gasket if you want,

their is more i think but yea..

Check the drain tubes for the turbo and the cyclone drain where they enter the oil pan. They are both prone to leak and could use new grommets there. It's much easier with the engine removed.

I know what you mean... My mom has been trying to get me to pay for having the drive way pressure washed... The thing is about 80% black, 10% brown, and 10% white... Anyone know where I can get/rent a pressure washer super cheap?...

oil cooler lines if leaking. once i changed mine i had about 95% of the leaks gone. now all needs to be done is the turbo drain.

I would also get a new oil pan gasket... replacing that will also give you a chance to look to see how much gunk you have in your pan (if any) I just did this job, and luckily I had none.

FYI You will probably want to use silicone to seal up that pan gasket.

my parts guy who also runs a mercedes restore shop said not to use anything, just put the gasket on and bolt it up to the correct torque specs

thats probly the way to do it. i dont really use silicone for anything anymore. if anything i use hi tack gasket sealer. its applied with a brush and doesnt spooge out when you mate parts together.
