Banjo Bolt

I am new to diesels and new to this forum this might sound off the wall but were the heck is this banjo bolt that needs cleaning on a 1984
300d turbo? I have looked and looked but can not seem to find it.

Also the ALDA is right there where you can get to it is there any need
to remove it to adjust it? From what i am reading the adjustment is right
under the plastic cap on top right?

Thanks For The Help..

Is your Turbo Switchover valve still connected? It's on the firewall just to the left of the brake booster. It should have 2 hard plastic lines, one runs to the ALDA, the other runs to the intake manifold. At the end of the plastic lines are banjo bolts. One on the ALDA, the other on the intake. 12 mm bolt head. IF the switchovervalve was bypassed, which it should not be, then follow the hard plastic line fron the ALDA to the banjo bolt on the intake.

stcbenz83, your car won't have a banjo bolt because you have a 240 D. A 240D is not normally turbocharged.

Please understand when you are looking for the banjo bolt, it really does not look like an actual banjo. The banjo bolt attaches the boost line to the rear end of the manifold on the passenger side of your car. If you don't have a bolt holding a plastic tube to the end of your manifold, look for a hole where it should be. If you DO discover the bolt holding the plastic tube (the tube should arc to the other side of the engine and attaches to a tiny little controller on the driver's side of the firewall), remove the bolt and the tube and clean both of them, then reinstall. If you don't have the bolt or the tube and instead have only the bolt hole, your car is probably REALLY slow....
