1981 300D non turbo. How much is it worth?
So the junk yard that I frequent just got a 1981 300D non turbo in. This car is 100% complete and in suprisingly good shape. I can't figure out why it's there but they are parting it out now.
I thought about seeing if they would just sell the whole car, which i'm sure they would. It's in great shape with a couple of dents on the drivers side doors and some rust in the floor boards. I asked if it ran and they didn't know but the spedo only has 143,000 mile on it and the engine looks clean. I know its in the junkyard for a reason but I would love to rescue this old mercedes. Worst off I could use it as a parts car for my 82 300D. How much is this thing worth, running or not? |

I have seen many a running car in that condition go for under $500. So I would say around 250 depending on what parts are good. If you decide to part it out it is still worth 100+ for steel when you bring it back.. But I'm sure they will ask for about double that if not more. Junkies are a hard bargain and most of the time they just don't give a S%$T. But you never know. I would start low and go from there.
