Flex disk warning

My rear flex disk is showing slight signs of cracking and is on my list of items to replace, however I need to drive on a 700 mile trip this weekend. If the flex disk is going to fail will it give any sort or warning sign before it lets go? I don't want to tear up the underside of the car! Should I take the wife's car this weekend?

If you don't have time to replace it before you go, take the wife's car.

Don't let a relatively inexpensive repair turn into a major one.

slight signs of cracking
I have seen them with threads hanging out. That is when I change them. You should be ok if there is just slight cracking.
