Anybody got an opinion on the new 4.4L ford line?

I read a blurb somewhere about the Euro ford 3.8 liter being bumped up to 4.4 L and put in american vehicles as an option. Hot Rod Mag I think, they seem to think several of ford's vehicles small trucks and mini SUV's may get the option.
anybody got any info on this or good/bad opinions?
John

Those look neat, now they need to make a smaller V6 that they put into the smaller SUV's...

If they try and offer another fire breathing torque monster for the F-150 then they deserve the downward spiral they're in. Some market segment may want that and Ford should supply it if they can. The larger market, IMO, is a 5 or 6 cylinder TDI that gets over 25 to 35 mpg's with modest performance. IOW, a work truck for workers.

I fear for my life when I have no other choice but to ride in someone's ford. My friend has a '92 taurus, the doors are made of reinforced tin foil. I almost broke one off the car because I was so used to the weight of my W126 doors

She once: Lost her wipers, blinkers, and one headlight, while on the freeway when it was raining. Good o'l fords.

3.8L, even twin-turbo, seems a tad small for a full-size pickup.
