82 300sd, alda location

Simple question, Where is the ALDA located on my 82 300sd?

Thank you.

It's the square device about 3" to a side sitting atop the injection pump. Follow the line from the back of the intake manifold to a switchover valve on the firewall, then follow the other line to the ALDA.

Drivers side of the engine, on top of the injection pump, at the end of the row of injector lines.

Thanks, im outside working on it as we speak. Im going thought the entire vacume system and searching for broken lines, hard lines, deterated rubber, etc. im going to try it for a while with out the alda. I did get around to changing one of the fuel filters and ordered the primary.

I love it when I google a misspelled word, and I still get 10,000 hits from everyone else who misspelled it too.

Mid, not sure a MityVac was very useful on anything you've worked on thus far but it's indispensable (did I spell that correctly?) when working on an MB.

thanks ill try the vac. worked well when sorting out the 944. i pulled the alda a few minutes ago and when for a drive to the end of the block and back, it made a noticable difference a take off. but the car still needs some good tuning. the car will cut out and wont accelerate beyond 70mph. its ob becuase it runs smooth. and seems great up to hi way speeds. but then it just falls on its face when trying to accelerate.

Do a search on bent rods. Kidding.

$110 seems a little low for all that with a pyrometer....

Did you get a thermocouple and lead wire with the gauge?

I'll bet that the $110. from Fastlane is exclusive of the pyrometer and boost gauge.;)
