Shaft support as diagnostic??

Center bearing support of the driveshaft is completely shot. I'm certain. Parts are on the way. In the meantime, it does its thumping as would be expected. The odd thing is, that it only thumps upon accelleration/decelleration (that's not odd) but only when cold. After a mile or two, it goes away, and you'd never know the support was gone.

Question: Could the cold-only phenomenon indicate that something else is also a worn out?

First thought: rubber/metal expands when warm/hot-noise could go away with that in mind.

Second thought: if you keep looking you will find something else that needs replacing(flex discs, mounts, ect).

I hate to keep looking; I know I'll find something! Flex Discs seem fine. If it's just a matter of warm up giving better clearance on parts, that means everything must be tight and good. I'd be thrilled if that's the case!
