stuck on w201 window motor replacement

I have to assume someone has run into this before, but I didn't see it in any of the window regulator threads I visited...

I have diagnosed a bad window motor on the front drivers window of my '84 190d. I have removed the regulator assembly and lowered the window, however, the motor is attached to the regulator with 3 screws and where the regulator is positioned I can't get to the last screw. I need to move the regulator about three teeth to the end of its travel to unscrew the motor, but it won't budge.

Is there a way to manually move this?
