bleeder valve

I have a 300D and my bleeder valve (hand pump air purge) stopped working two days ago. There's no pressure behind it when I go to pump it, I'm assuming that it needs to be replaced. A friend of mine told me that the most places are selling a different bleeder valve than the original one and that the new one doesn't work very well with grease cars. I was wondering if anyone knew of any parts distributors that might carry the original replacement bleeder valve.
