1982 300TD radiator replaced! Aww... now what!??
So I got the radiator replaced!! Yahoo!!! My old one was split right on the top and sprayed out everywhere (before a ungly jb welb mend).
So I got the new one in, right? Installed it, no problem. I added some Zerex G05 from pep boys.
Sooooo..... NO water pump action. This is a heartbreak. My temp gauge in the car got up to about 100c. The water pump didn't kick on!!! I tested it by squeezing the large upper hose and feeling for pressure. NOTHING! I'm hoping this is a thermostat defect. The documents from the previous owner state that the water pump was replaced in 2002. Any thoughts??
