sorry for the nooby question , sometimes my antilock light comes and stays on until I shut her down and start again . My pads look to have plenty of life and the reservoir is full . 85 300sd w126

My 93 300D 2.5L does the same things at times. I have been told 2 things:
1. When the voltage drops below a certain level to the SRS system a light appears 2. Someone told me to take the steering wheel off and clean the brass contact to the SRS. I have found it to be more of a distraction than an actual problem...Maybe someone can enlighten us both.

Check your over-voltage protection relay (fuse box) . Dry Solder contacts or the fuse at the top are usual culprits.
Cheap to fix or replace. |

Thanks guys......
I kept forgetting that occasionally, my SRS light would dimly blink. This will give me a good start on tracking down the problem.
