Boost pressure Sensor (?)
How does this switch work, and with my ALDA removed, can I rig it to throw a light at 18PSI or trip a relay to spray Propane??

I believe the overboost pressure sensor provides a ground signal between 1.0 and 1.1 bar.

so I could very well use it to ground a relay or something like that?
because that would be neat, and safe, to have a boost guage but when I'm too busy watching the highway for deer, have a light come on if the odd chance the boost gets too high, say a malicious wastegate malfunction... now that I have no ALDA to complete the overload circuit..

Radio Shack sells a loud 1"x0.5" 12V buzzer. I forget the part number, but it's loud enough that you should hear it over any engine or stereo noise.

This is funny. I've been surfing trying to figure out what it did and what to do with it now.
I have my ALDA out and will finish up reinstalling my intake manifold as soon as I feel better. While I have been sitting here coughing I have been surfing. I just looked at the picture for the change over valve. I wondered what signaled it to open. Never saw the electrical connectors before. If the overboost protection solenoid opens it vents the signal to the ALDA to atmosphere. This cuts some fuel to the engine. Putting a solenoid in the fuel line to cut fuel to the engine when pressure goes high seems a bit much. I might if I happen to have one hanging around. More likely I will do what has already been mentioned, put in a warning light. BTW, the switch I pulled from my intake was completely clogged. There is no way it would have worked. -Jim

I'm not sure either how the OB switchover valve works, if it's activated by the pressure line from the manifold, why does it need an electrical connection? let along a boost sensor if the ALDA does all the metering anyhow?
