Oh man! I'm dying here!

Well, I guess it's holding the star on, eh? That's the important part. A merc without a hood star just isn't right.

That and the wedged in woodchip keeping my blower motor running are my two favorite fixes for today.

Third was tightening the nut on my "broken" (no more!) windshield wiper.

Fourth was replacing my leaky return lines with the clear lawnmower fuel line.

My car probably shows up in the nightmares of some forum members...

You've got nothin' on mine. You wanna induce nightmares? Try discovering your back seat has had the horsehair pad removed, and in its place are the contents of about six cans of Great Stuff brand spray foam sealant and half a roll of window screen.

I could go on... But I don't want to traumatise any of the other members here too severely.

Ack! Don't do it!

Nah... I know no one in their right mind would do that. What I don't understand about it is that at $6 - $7 bucks a can, and with the number of cans they used, they would have spent less money filling the seat with foam and Dacron from the fabric store. Then again, some of the other things I've found on this car lead me to believe that at least one PO was a complete and total moron.

Actually that is OEM and is for the rarely seen underhood clothes line. It allows you to dry your clothes while driving. However, if you chose that option, you could not get the Car-B-que under hood food cooker.
