OK this might be a stupid question. but how do i install the boost controller i just got?

this is the controller i got off ebay:

it came with no instructions.

I was thinking it would work by splicing it into the line that goes between the intake housing and the waste gate. but it came with the T shown in the picture.

the T alows air to move from the pink nipple to the nibble the arrow is pointing at. the other nipple on the T doesn't seem to pass any air, at least not with me blowing on it.

is that the way it is supose to be setup?

if so how does it work.

I thought it worked by blocking the boost pressure to the waste gate actuator until it reached a set PSI then opend and opend the waste gate.

I don't understnd what the T is for.
