Does a Part Number exist for this foam adhesive strip?

I removed my wiper cowling, both plastic pieces and the center metal piece that covers the wiper motor. The metal was sealed down with a foam strip and so were the vent drains.

It seems to be a butyl impregnated foam material about 20 mm wide by 7mm thick when uncompressed. I have looked on the dealer parts diagrams and used the closest part to get me in the ballpark (123-830-04-28). That piece is a drain that is attached via 3 screws and sealed with this foam strip in question.

I would imagine this type of adhesive foam sealant would come on a roll but the diagram doesn't even show the "gasket" when I pulled up the above part that uses that type of gasket.

Does anybody know if a PN exists for this adhesive/sealant strip, and if not, what is a good alternative?

1985 300cd, or all w123's for that matter.

You can usually find some kind of adhesive backed foam rubber at most hardware stores.
Frost King is a brand that I seem to remember using in the past.
If you are lucky enough to have a specialist rubber supplier in your area, they will likely have something better.
In my area we use a company called Pacific Rubber for this sort of thing. Good luck.

I removed the cowl for painting. Good since there are gaskets underneath which can allow rain to leak into the cabin if not restored. You must drill out the rivets (easy). Don't recall what I used for new foam gaskets, but definitely not the correct PN, just stuff I had in the garage or maybe just reglued the original foam if OK (forget).
