Sway bar rear

http://catalog.eautopartscatalog.com/mercedesshop/sophio/wizard.jsp?partner=mercedesshop&clientid=catalog.mercedesshop&baseurl=http://catalog.peachparts.com/&cookieid=1N203X61P1YL16KDCP&year=1985&make=MB&model=300-SD-002&category=L&part=Sway+Bar+Link

What does this do under the car? I have replaced the diff. mount. And it helped a lot, but now when turning and the car shifts, there is a feel like on an icy road. What could cause this?

If you are refering to the plastic "z" links, the most work will be removing the rear wheels to gain access. I've got a pair, haven't put them on yet. I'm seeling that car. A friend mentioned it's a worthwhile swap.

The link did not come through,

yes the Z links. Will this cause this issue? of a feeling like the car is slipping on the ice?

Are your existing end links broken? If so, yes, the rear end would feel mushy.

Thank you for the help

Last time I checked they were cracked. Actually, that was at the mechanic that did the pre-purchase inspection.
I did not notice this issue until I change the rear diff mount. Probably making the slop show more on these parts now?
Will these affect alignment or ride height.

also check your rear trailing arm bushings and sub frame bushings. i think these can cause similar problems...

Will not effect alignment or height but will help handling.
