Looks pretty good
Nicely sealed and stuff It'd be good if someone needed a replacement ... but seriously, how often do these motors break so badly you need a new one? LOL I probably shouldn't say that seeing as mine has a habit of developing a problem every 2 weeks and it's about due ![]() Price for a reman. 606 is ~6500

Tempting, in a pie-in-the-sky ultimate-300SD-oil-leak-fix kind of way...
Seriously, wouldn't a turbo 606 W126 be great??

It's kinda useless except as a replacement engine. No engine ECM, no tranny or tranny ECM, no wiring harness, no flywheel, no fan, no accessories, and cut oil cooler lines.

I agree with Rob, I'd like to see a w126 with the 606 turbo.
Maybe put it in a bent-rod 350SDL with a 5spd from a 190D (would it fit?)... Now that'd be a fast w126!! ..or...... maybe not lol In any case it'd be one heck of a "Panzerbenz!!"

I was under the impression that the 606.962 bolts right up to the IP from a late 603 (slightly modified with larger elements) and will hook up to a 722.3 tranny. The fan & accessories are cheap - relatively to an engine swap project.
Check out Mauri H's old post here. There is a wealth of good information in this thread too.
