1984 Mercedes 300d 123 130 1a 109397

PREVIOUSLY HAD A 1979 MBZ 240D. UNDERPOWERED YET LOVED THE 30 MPG. PURCHASED 1984 300D LOVING IT SAME 30MPG+- & MORE POWER.
PER ORIGINAL OWNER PURCHASED IN GERMANY. CAN THIS BE PROVEN BE THE SERIEL NUMBER 1231301A109397 ? ANYTHING ELSE I COULD DETERMINE BY THE NUMBER?
ENGINE, TRANY, ECT.

You could run the full VIN (I don't think you posted the complete VIN) through the Russian MB site, should give you lots of good info.

Turn down the caps, it's hard to read.

Edit: Damn, ForcedInduction beat me to it and even ran the numbers for you I'm not smart enough to know what was missing from the VIN.

Yeah, that was easy to figure out once you posted it

I need a few more notches in my belt before I know the first 3 letters of MB VINs (unless they always start with WDB).
