CRAP! GP dash lite woes...

I just replaced all 5 glow plugs about 6 - 8 weeks ago. Everything's been working great UNTIL this past week! It's been a bit nippy here in SW Ohio. The car is always garaged in my attached garage so it never gets terribly cold in there. Anyway, when I go to start it up first thing in the morning I can not get the GP dash lite to glow! But the crazy things works fine the rest of the day!

What's up with that?

It could still be the glow plug relay or relay fuse. You also need to use the correct type of glow plugs and ream the carbon deposits from the glow plug ports before reinstalling.

I'll take another look at the relay / fuse. I used the correct plugs however since I did not want to spend for the reamer tool I made a decision NOT to ream after reading many posts here on the "ream or NOT to ream" subject!

Can someone explain how NOT reaming can cause the problem I'm now having? Thanks...

I don't think it is a reaming or not reaming problem. It sounds electrical to me. I would check your relay and fuse. If that doesn't help, check to see if the instrument cluster is grounding properly. If it's not grounded the GP light won't come on.

I just went through this. The light wouldn't come on, but the plugs where glowing. I found I had a bad ground to the instrument cluster and that fixed the problem. I had burned one of the circuits on the rpm, oil, and fuel gauge.
