Oh this is a cool thread! Just as I thought there are a lot of very interesting people that like these old Mercedes.

My passion is boats, fishing, sailing, you name it. I just like being out on the water.

Currantly I have been racing Star's a lot, doing decently to. Well considering that I am not that serious.:D But I love all types of boats, I did the wood boat thing for awhile, built a couple small ones.

My other passion is real estate, this is my favorite site to surf. I can often be found surfing RE listings into the wee hours of the morning.:D

Other than that just the usualy college kid interests girls, partying, beer, more beer, Rum, ehh you know.:D

Of all the "sports" cars I have owned, including 16 English ones, The Porsche is far an away my favorite. I've owned it for 15 years and it costs me less than any other sports car I have owned. We just broke 100K miles, and it still looks, and goes like new. Naturally, It's Guards Red.

I spent 8 years in the Merchant Marines, working in the engine rooms of tugs and ferries, all with BIG diesels. I could curl up and sleep with my 2 16-278A GMs, but the 2850 hp Alcos were so much classier. I go down and have coffee with the guys at the local RR yard, just to play with their ALCO engines. I installed a pair of White Superior 1250 KW generators at our foundry, The main idea was to generate when we were melting, but I could pump back into the line when we were not melting. When we shut down, we had them running on 70% Nat Gas, 30% No.2

Anyways, one of them I pulled the drivetrain and have that. Then I sold 2 on Ebay and I'll keep the 466. They saw what I was making on the buses and pulled out on me selling the last two. Oh well, I did very well. They are a blast to drive, this one has gobs of power. The best part on this one is its all mechanical! To shut it down you pull a rod out on the dash.

Interesting. What are you going to do with the drivetrain?

Makeup, cute shoes, hair ... you know, the usual chick stuff. OK, I like NONE of that stuff. :P Things I REALLY like:
-sports ... baseball, horse racing, sometimes NFL (Broncos fan so ... :( ) ... I collect a lot of sports memorabilia, although less than I used to
-distance running ... I run 3-6 miles/day and 10 every Saturday
-writing ... both creating it and reading it ... here's my latest article: http://www.delawareonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2006612300356
-art (see my homepage)
-horses ... used to ride, but haven't been around them for years ... miss them
-thinking ... about everything. Seriously, I love to think and ponder things, especially psychology and the "human condition." Why do we do the things we do? Where are we going as a species, and how the heck did we get to this bizarre state? And I like learning how things work, mechnical stuff, or even just random things around the house, as well as how they were discovered/invented

One more thing ... I like playing with this little guy:

I think I'll keep it for now. May put it in a mid 70's Suburban and have the ultimate family rig. I thought of putting the 466 in a Suburban but its a very big motor, who knows....
$2,000 for all 4 buses and the two that sold on Ebay went for $2,500 ea.
I used that to buy the 87 300TD that I'm driving now. Very fun hobby, nice to take a break for a while. :)
Nice thing about winter is it seems to force you to slow down a little, and thats OK.
Big azz tranny that MT643 is! Inline P7100 IP even! (Not sure where the pink is coming from)

Me too. Have you ever seen Tommy live? He comes here every fall and I've seen him three years in a row. Absolutely blows my mind. He even gets to my step-dad and he's been playing for thirty years. I also love to sail but my dad pulled the boat out of the water to sell this year so I've got to scrape together some money to buy one this winter. I'm in college so that takes up a lot of my time too. Thank God for month-long Christmas breaks.
