Will it hold?
Hey, I got my new glows in and it starts. Pretty good for me, a start up on the first try. Did the job the long way, pulled the hard lines and the linkage and even so it was a difficult job. Man those glos are a long way down there and then behind the IP and the filter also. Anyway, I took the air cleaner off just as a safety incase I didn't have it all hooked up right. Then I saw that one of my new, (year old) aircleaner mounts was broken. I thought I had an extra, but I couldn't find it. Well, I really like JB Weld and so I cleaned the surfaces with my Dremel tool and stuck it on with JB Weld. Any bets as to how long it will hold. I can't see why Benz Corp can't make these little buggers to last more than a year. Also, I took the time to see how long my 617 would run with the breather hose pinched off. It took about 3 seconds. Is that in the medium to good range? It runs so good and doesn't use a drop of oil. One more, could you use "pinching the breather hose" as a way to stop a run away engine? It probably is not as quick as a book or your hand against the "U" shaped intake hose - but I was wondering in the event you had a run away and you didn't have access to the air intake.
