I have a 83 300D. The gauges were erratic a few months ago, now they apear to be more or less dead. If the tach is reading , it will go dead when I turn on high beams. I also have a charging problem with the battery. For a week or more the car will start fine , then I'll find the thing dead. At first I thought something was drawing power while the car was off, but then I had a dead battery after driving for about a hour. the batt is about a year old and has had a load test. The brushes in the alt I changed a couple of days ago. About the gauges, they dont act dead. they sit at full deflection without movement . ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED THANKS RAY. p.s. where is the ground for the instruments,& how do I access it
