Greetings,
A guy near me has an engine and trans for sale. They are definitely MB diesel. He said he pulled them from a 300D and he thinks it was about a 1990 model with about 130,000 miles. Here are the numbers from the engine 617 952 12 072 879. Can anyone decode them? If it is a 90 year model, are there any major issues with the 300D engines from around that time?

I saw a listing in craigs list for a eng + tranny matching similar description in milledgeville. I don't suppose this is the same one. Are you buying this engine? I need one. PM me plz
