What should I be looking for in a 1986 190d that has done 275K miles?

I am going to look at a 1986 190d that has done 275K miles. Car has been on the lot for at least a couple of months.

Is there anything in particular about this model that I should be concerned about? Apart from the obvious of getting a pre purchase inspection done, is there something a non mechanical person like me could look at?

Just to clarify, I have no experience with Merc's and I don't have a heap of grease under nails
