5 speed idea

I can get my hands on a 5 speed tranny from a 2.3-8v 190E and I was wondering if I could take the internals from that tranny and put them into a 240D later Al case. From what I have read, the 5 speed is much like the ford type 9 in that it is only a 4 speed with a extra section added to make it a 5 speed. But that would be for a w123 diesel tranny, not the w124? (190E) tranny.

Also does anyone have the gear ratios for the various MB manual trannies?

I'm going to be looking in Sweden again for a 5 speed, but they are few and far between. If any one needs anything for there w123 PM me and I'll take a look while at the yards. I will be heading north this time and there are a lot of them in the yards up there.
