Fuse #2 81 300 TD
 

A few questions about Fuse #2 on my 81 300 TD. I traced a battery drain to something on that fuse and until I get around to really looking into it I plan on just pulling it out. Any problems with doing this? I am not worried about the clock, antenna, radio, etc. but the panel mentions it also serves "diagnostic", "hazard warn system" and something else.

Pull it and see what stops working, before you drive it. It looks like the hazard lights may not operate.

On your #2 fuse are the following.

Antenna
Clock
Courtesy lights
Hazard lights
Seat backrest lock system
Trunk light
Warning system

At least by the Service Manual
The seat backrest lock system and trunk are probably not in your car. The trunk light will be the rear light.
My only concern would be the warning system. But for a short time it shoudl not be a problem

I had a drain on that circuit and it was the power antena. I unhooked it at the antenna. does yours work? if not, that could be it.
