how best to tow euro TD?

I was going to put it on a trailer and haul it back with my astro... now the kids don't wanna go with me, so I was thinking of just driving the SD and installing a hitch and carrying a tow bar with me. I figure I can bolt on the tow bar, and disconnect the driveshaft from the Differential at the flex connector and have a safe vehicle to tow home.
the problem I have is I have no idea if the euro bumper bolt pattern is the same as the federal bolt pattern for the front bumper. I hope someone here has done this before and can illuminate for me.
I have less than a month to do this.
oh, and does anybody see a problem with towing the TD with an SD? the transmission was recently overhauled, so no problems anticipated there. and I have PLENTY of power with my 82SD. whatcha guys and gals think?
