I'm interested as well. The strip around the center vent slider is coming loose.

Talk about great expectations. I saw that you had replied, Forced, and was curious myself.

I was going to use some high strength epoxy.

I recall something about push clips on the back, but haven't looked at the dash dismantling instructions in quite some time. I don't think I'd glue it on, but that might work better than anything.

I used gorilla glue to put them back on the metal backing.. fortunatly with my slender fingers I could push down the metal slide clips and make them tight

The center piece and the right curved piece had come loose from the metal backing on the 300D. Used "yellow death" or what ever you like to call the 3M super weatherstrip adhesive, item number 08001. Never removed the metal backing from the dash, and just followed the directions on the tube. Both were done over two years ago and have held up well.

elmers liquid cement.. for who knows why would ever want to take it off again.

^^^^Would this work also on the burlwood piece that fell off the car's ashtray? There are fragments of old adhesive still on there, how should they be removed? (Some kind of filing needed or a solvent?)
