I think someone got a pretty good deal on your CE if it was "meticulous." I saw a 84 300CD with just over 30K miles sell for $25K a couple of years ago. The car was owned by my indy, and it was almost perfect. He didn't want to sell, but someone made him an offer he couldn't refuse at a car show (the CD won "best in class" at that show, I was there).

Yes, well, I needed the space in the garage, for the next car I brought in. I know he got a deal, but only figured it was by a few thousand bucks. The car was absolutely PERFECT. Inside, and out, and mechanically...As if it had just pulled out of the dealer's showroom, brand new. I got it for a song anyways. My devotion, to 123 coupes, is what caused the sale. Aside from all 8 of my 123 coupes, the only other Mercedes I have, is my 126 Coupe. I'll not part with that though, for any car, or price..

Wow, a 300CD like that, with such low mileage...? Do you atleast have any pics, of that car, from when he had it?

No I don't, unfortunately I only saw it a couple of times, it's burgundy with leather. He didn't like to drive it much for fear of adding miles, it was mostly a show car. Someone in Denver has it now, but I haven't seen it for a while. From what I could see, it was almost showroom, down to the original installation X marks on the hoses and all the original stickers under the hood. He works for a indy used benz dealer, and tends to snag some pretty nice cars there. He has a pretty nice 84 300D driver (about 150K miles) and just sold a very nice 82 300TD with just over 100K miles. He usually has a couple of nice W123 diesels, but this CD was really amazing.
