Not the car's air intake, the air compressor'... (yes, thats my POS, 3/4hp compressor, but it was free... old owner gave it away because the pipe fittings were loose! lucky deal) |
If you are in Atlanta, can't you go to an Autozone and utilize the "Tool Loner Program"? I just took back the vac pump and AC guages earlier today.
You just put them on your credit card, and when you return them the fees are reversed. This is the second summer I've used this, and it is GREAT! Oh, and btw, it is super easy to flush the system. Get you a cheap flush gun, and all you do is take every connection apart, flush the lines, and put everything back with new rubber seals and Nylog. I flush with straight alcohol, and used about a gallon or so. It cleans good enough and dries quickly. I'll try and find a link to a cheapo flush gun and edit this....... **edit** This is the flush gun I got, and this is also the seller. Was a good transaction...... Also, not a bad deal. I think the HitMan got one of these. Don't know if he's used it yet.... |

The vac pump I used this last time was brand new, still sealed in the box. I had to remove all packing and tie wraps, add the oil, and off I went. |

FYI, I could only get R-134A guages from Autozone. I had to borrow a church buddy's old R-12 guages......
I got A.Z.'s guages to check the pressures on the wagon (Freeze-12 with R-134A fittings:( :( ), but didn't want to loose the freon that it would take to fill the guage hoses. It is working OK for now, just 5-8 degrees warmer than the 240 with R-12.... |
